God gave you a fingerprint that no one else has so you can leave an imprint; no one else can.

Vision Statement

We strive to live our faith actively in response to the needs of others.

Mission Statement

We are called to be the bridge, to share God’s love and grace by providing spiritual and emotional comfort, a listening presence, and support, as caring disciples of Christ.

Action Statement

We live the Pastoral Care mission by being present and offering:

  • bereavement support
  • visiting with and offering communion to the homebound, senior living facilities, and our neighbors
  • compassionate listening
  • being actively visible
  • giving funeral assistance and offering grief support (Grief Share)

Pastoral Care

Our Pastoral Care is a unique and comprehensive support system, a warm embrace that demonstrates our care and support for the people of our parish. We are here to help you meet your spiritual and emotional needs, offering visits, prayers, Holy Communion, and ministering to those going through difficult times.

One specific way is through our homebound ministry.

Homebound Ministry is available to any parishioners who are unable to attend mass due to illness or other reasons. To arrange for a home visit, call Joni at the parish office.

Bereavement Ministry / Grief Share

At Saint Gerard, we firmly believe that no one should ever grieve alone. The period following a funeral is often more difficult than the funeral itself. If you are mourning the loss of a loved one, please do not hesitate to contact the parish office for more information. St Gerard offers a 13-week GriefShare program; you can attend as many as you feel you need. For more information, please contact Sue at sdupay16@gmail.com

The Prayer Shawl Ministry creates prayer shawls and lap coverlets, knitted or crocheted on the second Wednesday of the month, meeting in the Café Majella or at home. This is our way of reaching out to those in need of physical or spiritual comfort, reminding them of God’s love for them and our prayers for their well-being. Please get in touch with Joni in the parish office if you or someone you know would benefit from a shawl. Would you like to join? All skill levels are welcome!
