Video Display Ministry

The Video Display Ministry is open to individuals 13 years and older who have basic computer skills, basic knowledge of the order of the Mass, and the ability to think ahead. These are the people responsible for projecting texts for sung and spoken prayer on the screens in the Worship Space, making it possible for the assembly to participate fully in the liturgies. Video Display Ministers are asked to volunteer for Holy Days and holidays when possible.

Training is provided as needed.

Meeting Details: There are no meetings for this ministry, other than the initial training.
Ministry Description: The VDS Ministry is perfect for older children (teens) or adults who are comfortable operating a computer. The purpose of the ministry is to enable and encourage participation during Mass by displaying prayers, scripture and song texts on the display screens in the worship space. The VDS Minister runs the computer so that the correct information is displayed at the right time. If you have a moderate amount of computer knowledge, this is an easy-to-learn ministry. Training and support is provided. Any time you participate in one of our ministries, it deepens your understanding and connection to the Mass, and it enriches the entire experience of celebrating Mass.
